Lucia (Zeiss)

Close-up view of a Lucia (Zeiss) monofocal intraocular lens, showcasing its circular design and haptic structure.

Model: Lucia (Zeiss), 20D, monofocal, hydrophobic, clear

Lucia IOL from Zeiss is a monofocal IOL, but someone suggest that it provides a better intermediate distance visual acuity than other monofocal IOLs, so I test it.

Lucia (Zeiss), USAF resolution target, pupil 3.0 mm

With the monofocal IOL, the image was significantly clear at 6 m. As the target gets closer, it becomes slightly blurrier, but it is slightly clearer at 150 cm compared to the Johnson & Johnson Tecnis Monofocal IOL. This is similar to the Eyhance (Johnson & Johnson).

Lucia (Zeiss), night, halo (pupil 3.8 mm), monofocal IOL

With the Lucia (Zeiss) monofocal IOL, there was no definite halo around the headlights, tail lights of the cars, and traffic lights.

Lucia (Zeiss), Day, building (pupil 3.0 mm), monofocal IOL

Lucia (Zeiss) provides a very clear view of distant buildings, much like another monofocal IOL.

Nighttime view of a building signboard with illuminated text in Korean, stating '노량진수산물도매시장' and '살아 숨 쉬는 바다', showcasing clear visibility without halos around the lights. Lucia (Zeiss) pupil 3.0 mm

A night view of a signboard displaying text in Korean. The sign is illuminated brightly against a dark background, with various lights from surrounding buildings and vehicles visible. Lucia (Zeiss) pupil 3.8 mm

The signboard looks relatively clear with Lucia (Zeiss). Halo was not observed around the lights above and below the signboard.
