The Lentis Mplus presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens is a refractive multifocal intraocular lens with separate near and distance zones in the optic.

Lentis Mplus presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens, day, building (pupil 3.0 mm)

With the Lentis M plus presbyopia-correcting multifocal intraocular lens from Teleon, distant buildings appear slightly hazy, as if in fog, compared to a monofocal intraocular lens. This is similar to a phenomenon typically seen with diffractive multifocal intraocular lenses rather than refractive multifocal intraocular lenses.

Lentis Mplus presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens, night, glare (pupil 3.0 mm)

With the Lentis M plus presbyopia-correcting multifocal intraocular lens from Teleon, due to the unique design of the optic, a distinctively shaped glare is observed around bright lights at night. Even when the pupil is 3.0 mm, a fan-shaped glare is visible.

Unlike a monofocal intraocular lens, with the Lentis M plus presbyopia-correcting multifocal intraocular lens from Teleon, due to the unique design of the optic, a distinctively shaped (fan-shaped) glare is observed below bright lights.

Lentis M-plus presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens MF30, eye chart (pupil 3.0 mm)

This is a video showing images of the optotype at various distances with the Teleon LENTIS Mplus presbyopia-correcting multifocal intraocular lens.
At 6 meters, compared with a monofocal intraocular lens, it appears slightly blurred as if foggy.
As the optotype gets closer, it gradually blurs, then becomes clear at about 50 cm, and then blurs again.
At 50 cm, a ghost image is seen above the optotype (bar).

Unlike a monofocal intraocular lens, with the Oculentis LENTIS Mplus presbyopia-correcting intraocular lens, due to the unique design of the optic, a distinctively shaped (fan-shaped) light spread is observed around bright lights (traffic lights, car headlights, tail lights).

  • The specifications above are based on data provided by the IOL manufacturer or its distributor.
  • An IOL with a higher refractive index is thinner at the same dioptric power.
  • Abbe number: measured for optics exposed to air; a higher value means less chromatic aberration.
