Opening of a Multifocal IOL Experience Clinic

With the IOL experience equipment developed by Professor Ho Sik Hwang, you can see for yourself how vision would look with a multifocal IOL implanted. The experience is free of charge.

1. Lecture: You will view photos and videos taken through the model eye developed by Professor Ho Sik Hwang, with each multifocal IOL implanted in it. While looking at distant buildings (day and night), visual charts taken at each distance, and night-time roads captured with a monofocal IOL, Eyhance, Vivity, PureSee, PanOptix, Elana and Odyssey, you choose the 3 IOLs you would like to experience.

2. The following tests are performed for the 3 IOLs you selected. For eyes with little or no cataract, or eyes with a monofocal IOL implanted after cataract surgery, you wear glasses that correct myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

1) Distance
Look at the distance visual acuity chart and check whether it appears clear.
2) Near
Look at the near visual chart and check whether it appears clear.
3) Traffic light
Look at a real traffic light installed indoors and check whether halos appear.
